NR out: METHANE REDUCTION REGULATIONS!
Calgary, Alberta – December 13, 2023 – Delta CleanTech Inc. (“Delta” or the “Company”)
(CSE:DELT, FRA: 66C, OTCQB:DCTIF).
Environment and Climate Change Canada recently announced, regarding Honourable Steven
Guilbeault’s attendance at the COP 28th Climate Change Conference in Dubai:
“Today, the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change,
announced at the Global Methane Pledge Ministerial that Canada has published strengthened oil
and gas methane regulations to cut emissions from this potent greenhouse gas. This makes good
on Canada’s commitment when it became the first country in the world to set a target of reducing
oil and gas methane emissions by at least 75 percent from 2012 levels by 2030.
During this event, John Kerry, the United States Special Presidential Envoy for Climate,
highlighted that the United States recently finalized its own oil and gas methane regulations.
Canada’s approach is broadly aligned with that of the United States in both form and stringency.”i
Mr. Jeff Allison, President of Delta commented: “Delta recently announced the launch of its own
innovative methane destruction product - The MethanatorRX. The MethanatorRX will look to
both destroy low volume methane from natural gas wells and to generate carbon credits. Both of
these activities have been stated as a mandate for the Canadian Federal Government. The
MethanatorRX has been selected for demonstration by a major gas producer, and is expected to
be producing methane destruction results within the next 30 days.”
Delta’s products are currently operating as “incubators” for global emissions reduction through
the Corporation’s Delta Purification – Solvent Reclaiming, and its subsidiaries, namely: Delta CO2
Capture, - [insert]; MethanatorRX Technologies Inc. - Methane Destruction; and Carbon RX Inc. -
Carbon Credits. We are well positioned to take advantages of these clean technology growing
markets in the near future.”
