RE:RE:EOM
Future of Colombia - I would believe these events are affecting other projects that have not yet started.  If they choose companies that are run by Eike Batista then they will be left with polluted water and the land will be run by the terrorists.  Companies will be holding back investment based upon this episode.  Eco Oro developed an impressive plan, a solid management group, with a strong return on investment for all parties including preserving the environment/water.  Colombia is determining whether they become a leader or join their neighbor, Venezuela.  These events will affect all contracts done with this country because they will be worth less than the paper they are made with.

Eco Oro - I would guess their board is assessing options and recommending options for moving forward.  I line from an US businessman, Ted Turner, said "If you are not growing, you are dead".  The board of directors needs to assess their fudiciary responsibilites as well.  I would imagine a settlement could propel this company into other contracts elsewhere but they should be the project leader in Santander.  I am staying loyal to this company and it may be the wrong decision but they have done everything right for me as an investor.

Question - Do any of you know their investment group Amber Capital?  They were backed by Societe General.  Their limited partners will have alot to say if they are strong in the next steps for this company.

Suggestion - John Paulson takes over the company and swats Eike Batista aside; then that would be a public good.  Everyone will win from investors to citizens of Bucaramanga.
