I'm sure you're a nice person and I'm sorry you have lost money on MEDV. It would be impossible not to have considering it has only existed as a separate entity for a year and it's at it's lowest sp during that time,
The following is all free advice.
1. Questcap, the parent company has been around for years first as a junior copper company and then jumped into gold and the was just a mess for years.
2. It appears now it is made up of 3 divisions ...and had 3 different CEOs in a year ...not good.
3. As you stated, Doug comes with some very impressive credentials and like Steve has been to Empower he could be to MEDV ....but he hadn't been around long to affect longterm change ....LIKE Steve has and continues to do.
4. Sell your shares in MEDV ...the sp is going down further ...not sure where the bottom will be but Doug has a lot of work to do. I might even consider investing when I believe it has bottomed out,
5. In the meantime do yourself a favour and invest in a great company that IS NOT just a covid play. Empower is generating millions in revenue that a little over a year ago was annually but is now monthly.
6. FINALLY ....don't even think about shorting CBDT or any other stock. While it is, as you say, an investment strategy ...it is not for you.
