PCR tests must be sent to a lab for confirmation, but some antigen tests can possibly be done at home. Currently, the antigen tests are provided under the supervision of someone in the medical field. The results for antigen test are fairly quick 5-15 minutes, but are not as accurate as a PCR test. Antigen testing is quite a bit cheaper, however if you test positive you are then required to get a PCR test for confirmation. I hope that answers your questions.
