RE:Louel if you ae not willing to protect your self legally you deserve what you get. If tha is your investing approach you should never invest in the markets. The Market is simply an Auction sale where shares are sold to others for what ever they can get for them. The buyer has to be smart enough to know if what they are buying is fairly , over or Under priced. As to make a profit anyone who holds shares must sell them to another person who is willing to pay more.
There is no provisions or law which says the company or any person in it is liable for guaranteeing share holders a profit or loss. All they must do is manage the corporation according to the rules set forth by the Securities Exchange which has been dually authorized by government. The rest is up to the investor to be smart enough to know what they are doing.
When buying and selling shares is like a poker game. The money you make comes from other investors not the company. For each person that makes a profit someone else has lost.
newtons 3rd law states, For every action, there is an Equal and oppiosite reaction.
90% of retail investors do not understand that. The same or larger percentage have never taken any courses or market education. and wonder why they loose money
Investing is tantamount to 10 people playing poker. 1 is a Poker Shark who has honed his skills, on counting cards and reading player emotions.
The others have never read how the game is played. No knowledge of what makes a winning hand nor how much to bet or when to fold. Guess who ends up with the money and who gets fleeced ? Wise up.
