My guess....
Blockchain is used for security purposes to ensure no one "fan" hacks another fans account... With the implementation of Blockchain, everything becomes traceable.
As far as fancoins, well ...... If I was running the show, here would be a few ideas.
Fancoins would be like Airmiles or Credit Card points... As you become more involved in "using" the App, you earn more coins. You convincingly win some arguments, you earn coins...
Redemption of coins could be used on sports merchandise and/or sponsored merchandise provided by companies paying FDM for advertitising
Examples:
Signed Connor McDavid Jersey... 100,000 coins
Game used Sidney Crosby Hockey Stick - 100,000 coins
place more sports items here.... (Football, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer etc....). my point? Lots of options
Like all apps, you have advertising, and maybe some interactive features...
Maybe you get sponsorship from shipping companies that ship this merchandise to your door (Fed-Ex) etc...
IMO, there are a lot of possibilities.....
Time will tell. It will all be dependent on what the current management has for a vision!
