2014 insightIn 2014 we got the oppurtunity to go to and participate in the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. I just tagged along with 2 friends who are/were much more involved in the emerging industry. I got to meet some pretty interesting people from all over Europe and elsewhere. It was at this event I met a very eclectic group of growers from Denmark. They explained to me they were part of a cannabis collective medical user/growers group. The group decides what strains to grow early in the year. The seeds are purchased and the whole grow is facilitated in rented space in a commercial greenhouse. Their are other colectives in the same greenhouse aswell. The rentable space in this greenhouse was all being used by groups exclusively growing cannabis. The rates were not what I would consider cheap either but the guys I met seems cool with the costs because of quite a few reasons. Security. Supplimental free lighting from the sun. Light control. SECURITY.. anyways... how does this relate to us? If and when the feds finalize the marijuana legalization structure you will see the rise of these collective groups in Canada without a doubt. It's 100 percent possible that groups who have patients with needs as well as recreational growers/ enthusiasts will gravitate towards this model as a cost effective alternative for growing their own in their own residence . And the landlord just sits there and collects rent for not providing too much... Just a comment.
