Crypto crashed starting in May...correct?

If Crypto crash started in May of this year...how is this statement from the company possible?

"On January 22, 2022, the Company completed a share exchange agreement to acquire all of the outstanding
shares of a private BC Corporation and indirectly acquired Pawtocol Holdings Corp., a Delaware corporation.
As consideration the Company issued 15,000,000 common shares of the Company fair valued at $3,450,000.
On March 31, 2022, due to the decline in crypto currency, the Company recorded an impairment of $3,450,000"

illogical.

What am I missing?
