I really agree with the point that the license alone (without contracts) doesn't seem like as sure a thing to move the stock price up. I have seen the patent have no effect on the sp, and other companies have had some anouncements that didnt send the sp anywhere.
However, I beleive in the extraction sector of the cannabis industry - which makes me a long in NextLeaf. I think up until now the stock price has moved with every single announcement and NL because their hasnt been any actual revenue for alot of these companies. And the companies that do have revenue have not been profitable.
I dont know if NL's will send sp's rocketing anymore. I think the industry has to start performing consistently. This hit home after LABS had an impressive earnings report and thier price has been down for weeks.
I would love it if the sp shot up with the announcements of a license and signed contracts - but I feel like we wont see any REAL movement until companies in the industry show consistent profitability. Just my two feelings.
