The thing I find really interesting about this patent is Paul Pedersen said they were very happily surprised OILS received the patent. They were not expecting to receive it. Bevcanna excercised their rights to the "Deeper Green" water soluable technology. Deeper green is trademarked but maybe they didn't patent the process? Will have to ask Emma and the team, seeing as she was at BEV

Deeper Green is a ready mix powder formulation for waterbottles. The new patent is an extraction process patent not a formulation patent.  The skidded platform is supposedly easy to reproduce since its ethanol based extraction and not pressurized like CO2. Tom did a great sitdown with the Cannalysts a month or 2 ago that actually explains the advantages of their processor very thoroughly

Thank you Franks. You have been here much longer then I and I trust your valued inputs in relation to both OILS and the industry. On the "Deeper Green" formulation would there be steps within the formulation process by which are now potentially covered by these patents. Somehow they got through the extraction and decarboxylation process to get to the formulation. No? Or am I missing

There are multiple routes to get to the same destination. Ethanol extraction is not new, but the manner in which Nextleaf put their machine together with their added solution wash and a few other bells and whistles makes their process novel and patent-worth (from my understanding).  Majority of early cannabis tech was done via CO2 in small batches, the difference in patents is the process

Thanks Shneps. I'm long, not here to trade so volatility doesn't stress me too much. I've posted my thesis for this company on the board several times in the past and it hasn't changed. The potential that drew me here is the direction everything seems to be headed.
