2017

Here we are at the end of 2017. The year started with such great hope and an all star list of names including an advisory board of Peter Meredith, Jonathon Rubenstien and, of course, Stuart 'Tookie' Angus. Project credibility was further enhanced by the presence of Dr. David Broughton, Brian Jones, and most visibly, former Teck geologist, Paul Ransom on the technology team. Directors Jay Sujir, Hugh Rogers and Anthony Jackson were also prominent, two of whom have since tendered their resignations, reasons unknown to shareholders at large.  We were impressed by a magnificent web site offering to keep us abreast of developments via news postings, via email if we joined the email list, and by soliciting questions through their web-based contact form. Although I can't remember ever receiving an email update from the company, other sources of information were forthcoming and positive until the last posted news update which appeared last May. Then nothing until a report that drilling difficulty on a slope beside the east mass forced the hole to be abandoned. A better suited spot was identified further west, but forest fires resulted in drilling restrictions. I assumed drilling would commence as soon as the fires abated and activitied were again allowed, but months passed with the end of the fires. I watched official B.C. updates to verify... no fires, nothing even close. Losing patience and getting worried, I started trying to contact them via the web site contact form. "You owe your shareholders some feedback" I said. "You have posted nothing official on this site since May!" I requested information this way several times and, to date, I have heard NOTHING. Kootenay zinc may still be a reputable operation, I can't say. I can, however, say that the treatment of their shareholders is nothing short of pathetic. I wonder if those big names mentioned above are still proud to have their names associated with this company, or is that part of the reason we have seen resignations?  It's past time to get back in touch with your shareholders and let us know where things stand!
