RE:RE:earnings earnings Quinsam (and other investment companies) trades based on book value, not earnings. "Earnings" of Quinsam is mainly fluctuations in the market values of its investments. This is not at all like a company which has actual operations which sells a product/service (in which the P/E will be much more relevant).
