RUA's Promising Developments from the Reefton Goldfield RUA Gold (Ticker: RUA.c or NZAUF for US investors) continues to carve its niche in the mining industry with a dedicated focus on gold exploration and discovery in New Zealand's historically-productive gold districts.
Late last week, RUA unveiled significant strides at its Reefton Projects on New Zealand's South Island.
Preliminary results from the project's Pactolus system indicate a promising extension southward for 550 meters along strike, showcasing substantial mineralization on the surface. The Pactolus vein is a surface Greenfields discovery made by RUA GOLD in 2021.
The company is currently analyzing these results to ascertain the plunge and tenor of the ore shoots at this nascent stage of exploration.
Preliminary assays from three out of six drill holes from the Pactolus Vein revealed findings such as 2m @ 5.13g/t Au and 2m @ 3.61g/t Au.
Complementing these results are surface trenching assays, including 5m @ 12.2 g/t Au (including 1m @ 17.1 g/t Au) and 4m @ 6.9 g/t Au (including 1m @ 16.1 g/t Au), underscoring the potential of the Pactolus system.
Looking ahead, RUA is gearing up for an extensive drilling campaign, beginning with five targets in the Murray Creek area. These targets, spanning historic districts like Crushington, Capleston, and Caledonian, hold promise, having collectively produced approximately 700 koz at 25.2 g/t within a 20-kilometer radius.
As the company rolls out its 2,500-meter drill program for 2024, optimism runs high fueled by the exceptional geology of the Reefton project and the expertise of the operational team on the ground.
