Hey Sunrize, It's certainaly not a show of confidence but there are a lot of reasons to sell shares.  I doubt that expressing confidence or dissatifaction to the public is high on Leith's list.

When Chuck Rifici was ousted from Tweed he sold all his shares at $2, and he had a lot of them.  They are well over $40 today and have hit the $70s.  Was that a show of dissatifaction?

We can't read Leith's mind.  That phone call didn't give clear answers either but does it reall matter?  Leith is one person.  He has his reasons but does that alter the course of the company?  Nope.

Seriously, when a co-founder abruptly quits and starts selling shares at their near all time lows, it simply says he has not much confidence. Fly fishing not withstanding.
