In Canada it is a sh*** show right now, low quality, production inefficiencies, and only wholesale markets in place. Just getting started there really, and international markets, the pitchers haven't even stepped up to the mound. In the US, California is the North American market leader and Sunniva will be in the pole position come mid 2019 and in the biggest, fully regulated cannabis ...more

@Bluechip2: First mover advantage in Calif (though I have to disagree since there are other companies that have been selling branded products for a few months now), large cGMP facility, :"clean" product, etc. Yes. But aren't most people putting the cart before the horse? Is anyone looking at demand vs sales? I mean, how has been demand vs sales in Canada since 10/17? Is it a given ...more

sunrize and Blueguy, couldn't disagree with you more. I would have preferred not to engage with you guys here because Stockhouse tends to engender only low-quality interactions, but Bluesguy stated most bagholders probably agree with him and I just wanted to set the record straight and say that no, I have the opposite opinion. Anyway, hope to see you both at the Sunniva Discord channel ...more

@sunrize- good post. I too am waiting for revenues to improve before adding to my position. Surely the (4) extraction contracts being executed currently in the 4th quarter will generate a spike in revenue, but without company guidance on this, and the cryptic 'stock piling of oil inventory' statement, it is prudent to wait and see results first. I don't see any reason why management ...more

never thought i would agree with sunrize but I gotta say, he pretty much called it (sadly) and his latest comments are right on point.  I had been buying the snn dips up until this last qtly result but now unfortunately the risk/reward picture looks rather ugly and I am hoping for a January relief rally to reduce my position considerably.  Here are my reasons: 1) mgt has proven ...more

Okay so here's the good news: you're wrong on everything. Going to respond point by point. 1. The Canada plans have not been abandoned, only modified, and they haven't burned through a ton of cash on it. They have been investing conservatively, and (literally and figuratively) have been building the foundation for the highly profitable cultivation + direct patient sales model that is ...more

... forgot to mention that this largest, most advanced greenhouse is already FULLY FUNDED and COMPLETELY PAID FOR by a third party that sits on Sunniva's board, and it will cost Sunniva nothing until it is actually built, i.e. operational and productive. So where is the risk here? And another point about the idea of Sunniva being inexperienced and lacking understanding of the California ...more

Great debate between you two (Benedictus and GOTMONEY)! Really enoyed some of your criticisms Benedicitus, and also enjoyed GOTMONEY's retort. This is a good healthy discussion that is overal good for the community, as it brings awareness to certain strengths and weaknesses of the company. While I agree with GOTMONEY, I appreciate that some of Benedictus' criticisms were unique and not ...more

thanks for your responses GM, you make some good points. My post was as much a frustrated rant as it was engineered to discuss all the pretty and ugly aspects of this snn investment.  I said the risk/reward is ugly because in the short to midterm, I see a big time cash burn coming and the revs picture is very cloudy up to 3Q 19, which is why I do not have the certainty you have that another ...more

Are there more unknowns or fewer unknowns than when you and sunrize first bought in, probably at prices 3x-5x higher? Sometimes I feel like we're a bunch of pampered children, wanting everything to go smoothly and everything to happen now. But Sunniva is an emerging company in a developing sector, where there are plenty of new challenges, issues and real-world obstacles that nobody has ...more

@Benedictus: You make great points. I can tell you the DISCOrd group is a bunch of fanboys. That's it. I logged in there twice and was immediately told that I have a yellow card (this was during the Soccer World Cup), for having critcized mgmt. The fanboys ganged up on me and pretty much threatened that they would ban me if I criticized again. Some guy named monkey and another calling himself, ...more

Can anyone provide any information on LTYR? I know what management said in the NR, but I can not find a single thing on them on google. What did they actually buy for 8 million? I mean does anyone have a info on what that intails aside from the press release? Thanks.
Comment by Bluechip2 on Dec 13, 2018 9:12am
@benedictus- you have been posting for a while and I feel the same as you in some respects. Part of the SP compression is due to management disregarding informing the investor public when the financing was determined to be unexecutable due to various reasons including US assets/illegality, and high risk proposition due to Canadian risk of low revenue generation from a banking investment ...more

“Sunniva has been runiing like a private company in terms of not informing public investors of changes in strategy in a timely fashion, but that looks to be their only functional misstep” Wouldn’t an at-least-equally-significant misstep be all the failures that lead to the changes in strategy they haven’t conveyed in a timely fashion?  The changes would not have been necessary without the ...more

What exactly are the "all the failures"? Are you talking about anything other than (what we speculate is) the reluctance of Canadian banks to lend to companies with US operations?
Comment by HandyAfterall on Dec 13, 2018 2:14pm
Canadian bank financing. basically, the entire Canadian plan. any timeline.  I freely admit to allowing myself to get duped by the Canadian financing plan. From the beginning, that plan seemed very arrogant and pie-in-the-sky, to me, because not a single other company had managed to swing that deal. And you know they all tried. Stupidly, I took ted and the conpany’s word over my own better ...more

@HandyAfterall: Spot on. And the spinoff news announced months before having actual details of it. That tanked the sp even more. Like I have been saying all along.... making it up as they go.

@Bluechip2: You said "...So far, not much from Sunniva besides a couple of paid pump articles that acted as a short trader dream scenario to pump down the SP and scare current holders...." So what you are saying is that the company did a stock promotion. What does that say about management? Also, the paid trip that Ted took to Cathedral City is something I absolutely abhorred and one ...more
