So wrong on supply/demand. The limitation for supply, today, is manufacturing!
Distribution is a major promblem for the POC/Lab test. The cost of each test increases when a lab needs to be used to analilze or people are required to travel to a testing site and then wait for results from the lab. This also impacts on the effectiveness of contact tracing.
this test kit does not need a lab and can be brought to the POC, whereever that is located. It can, if an internet connection is available be tallied using the platform from, @bondhealthuk , making the test more effective yet again!
Life cycle cost of this test is at a level that will allow repeated tests that cost less and are more effective than other types. Also it tests for antigens, which precease the antibody generation from the immune sytem. This identifies asymptomatic people who are contagouis as aposed to an antibody test that is positive but passed the contagious stage.
How is this not a manufacturing issue.
Scaling up is possible from 3rd party entities once the need is confrimed
