And that is not what Sona needs. We simply need something reliable with more than 90% which will allow the consumer (airlines, cruise ships etc) to be comfortable with the results and confident to proceed with their business even of a slight margin of error is possible...if Sona could reach 100%, the test would already be out and approved

90% or 100% accurate in terms of what? no false positiveS? that has already been determined that in all their testing they received no fasle positives...they were optimizing for sensitivity to ensure it can detect this virus at the smallest levels...and it being 100% does not mean it would be out already...to determine the level of accuracy they have to do testing, verifications and validations...

Not having any false positives is a thing, but you also don't want to have any false negatives. I'm just saying you can't expect a lateral flow rapid test to be as accurate as a lab PCR test. However, that doesn't mean the test is worthless. There is actually a huge demand for such a test, even at a 90% accuracy, for example. On their last investor deck, they break down the pros ...more

expect when you have GNR technology and therefore sensitive and specificity is at very high levels.
