Sona Nanotech Inc > Abbott NR is confusing

Abbott NR is confusing

I had to read the fourth paragraph of the NR quite a few times. At first I thought it said that the test had to be done by your healthcare provider within 7 days of the onset of symptoms. Then I read it a few more time and realized that it said that their data submitted to the FDA had 97.1% sensitivity and 98.5% specificity in patients suspected of having COVID-19 by their healthcare provider within 7 days of the onset of symptoms. I'm not a scientist but isn't that sort of sample shopping to achieve a desired result ?

In the sixth paragraph it says that the EUA requires the patient to get a prescription. Does that mean I have to get a doctors appointment, have them write a prescription and then get a qualified person to do the test all within 7 days after I think I have symptoms ? I don't think my doctor even wants me in their office if I have symptoms. Isn't that why there is drive through testing ?

I know longer am confused; Abbott is pushing a product that will differentiate covid-19 after the symptoms are evident. It will not tell you at all if you have it until it is too late and you can spread it around.  SONA is special and can potentially identify covid-19 before symptoms and before spreading it around. IMO

I share the same opinion. Oh, btw, I'm thinking of opening a clinic to help people with broken legs without using a an x-ray. The patient would have to be referred by their health care professional  after complaining of a bone sticking out of their skin or a foot facing backwards.

SARS-CoV2 Testing: The Limit of Detection Matters from the NIH, the following is the last paragraph, and a link. The ultimate lesson from these studies bears repetition: LoD matters and directly impacts efforts to identify, control, and contain outbreaks during this pandemic. Various assays report out LoDs in manners that are often difficult to comprehend, for example, TCID50 values that may ...more

You need to read and do your own DD and not drink the Koolaid Many companies publish the same information. Tests  looking for the Antigen have a short  time frame to detect the AntoGen before the AntoBodies kill them offf if your healtty.   3 weeks after infection alll Antigen are gone.
