The Feds can’t afford to lose the confidence of Canadians

The reproduction rate (RT) has to be < 1 to see a decrease in overall cases. The rate in Canada is presently 1.4. Every person who has Covid 19 is giving it to 1.4 other people. The key to reducing this spread is identifying asymptotic carriers. The Feds say they are monitoring the growth of cases, yet experts say 40% of carriers are asymptotic. Without a system to indentify asymptotic cases the government cannot truly monitor virus growth. Blaming young people for the spread of the virus is not a mitigation strategy, particularly when there is spread in workplaces and schools. Ontario is still testing all who want a test but is quickly maxing out on lab capacity. Long lines and colder weather will deter people from getting tested. Yesterday Quebec advised asymptotic people NOT to get tested. Rapid testing of asymptotic people is the key to getting the pandemic under control. Doug Ford said "I know I sound like a broken record, but two things, the rapid tests from HC and get the flu shot. It's like a perfect storm coming together".

Approval from HC will be coordinated with the throne speech imho.

I will respect your opinion.    The wait creates tremendous anxiety.   we will all be experts in the field of corona virus by the time this test gets approved.    When is the throne speech.
