RE:RE:For the more positive thinkers out there. Sorry Fedor, but you are mistaken. Perhaps you only get your feedback from people who feel the same way as you, but grammar is very important indicator of intelligence. And I'm not saying spelling mistakes always erase someones validity; it depends on the type of spelling mistakes.
Did the author just hit the key that is next the correct key, or did they blatantly spell the word incorrectly? Do they repeat the same spelling mistake? Do they not understand they way certain words are used, or what certain words mean? Do they not understand that words spelled slightly differently can mean completely different things, regardless of how similarly they may sound?
One of humans greatest abilities is the ability to judge, and the brain does it subconsciously in fractions of seconds in most cases. And when you read something that someone wrote which contains errors that should have been corrected in grade school, one naturally makes assumptions of the author. And of course judgements aren't 100% correct, or even nearly, and assumptions can "make an a ss of u and me", but they are correct quite often, and it is how our brains naturally operate.
Take you for instance(if you haven't already). I relatively enjoy your posts. You say reasonable things, and do not sound like an ignoramus. But I cannot take what you say seriously because you have the worst grammar on this board, and maybe any board I've been to. It's almost as if you can't be that grammatically ignorant, and you are doing it as a cover of some sort, or some other strange reason. So I just basically write what you say off.
Since humans naturally do not like uncertainty, and search for certainty in almost all endeavours(aside from thrills, etc.), consistent and rampant grammatical errors are very off-putting to most people, and do not foster attraction or adherence.
