Another positive note, in our view, was included in a recent presentation
by the management at TD Securities’ London Energy Conference and
relates to the drilling performance. We understand that the time taken to
reach total depth (TD) at a Tertiary Rift well is now 30–40 days,
substantially shorter than the 2-month period at the beginning of the
campaign. The cost is also substantially lower at around US$15 million
versus US$60 million for the first exploration well.
And wouldn't it be nice if TPN could get wells done for $15MM .. as I have heard they cost $30MM+
