Can someone with more business acumen than me, please explain why they are releasing these on a Friday after hours???  Why not Friday open to stop the bleeding??

Seed I cook, releasing the news today would have been overshadowed by the bloodbath in the market today. So it's good to release it on Friday after market. This will give investors to digest the news over the weekend. Probably good decision and may have a positive effect on Monday, especially if the market rebound on Monday.
