TCEC's Successful Completion of Initial Drill Holes On Monday, Tisdale Clean Energy Corp. (Ticker: TCEC.v or TCEFF for US investors) shared that it has completed the first 2 drill holes at the South Falcon East Uranium Project, located just outside of the Athabasca Basin which is renowned for its uranium reserves. The project is also strategically situated around 50 km east of the Key Lake uranium mill and former mine.
Exploration Potential: Historic Mineral Resource and Program Goals
The South Falcon East Project holds a historic mineral resource of 6.9 Mlbs U3O8 inferred, indicating promising exploration prospects. The 2024 program's initial phase aims to complete up to 1500m of drilling across two phases, focusing primarily on validating existing mineralization. Subsequent drill programs will seek to expand the Fraser Lake B deposit and explore multiple high-priority targets within the South Falcon East domain.
Drilling Results: Phase One Highlights
Phase one concluded with 442m drilled in the first two boreholes. The initial hole intersected multiple zones of uranium mineralization over 13.5m, with noteworthy findings including a 0.03% eU3O8 over 4.1 m, including 0.11% eU3O8 over 0.2 m, suggesting continuity of mineralization. The second hole aimed to extend mineralization from a historical hole and uncovered several mineralized zones below 132m, including 0.02% U3O8 over 1.3 m, with 0.05% eU3O8 over 0.1m.
Executive and Expert Insights: CEO and Consulting Geologist Statements
Alex Klenman, CEO of Tisdale Clean Energy, expressed satisfaction, noting comparable uranium values to known resource grades in the first two drill holes completed on the property in nearly a decade. Trevor Perkins, Consulting Geologist for Tisdale, emphasized the importance of confirming existing mineralization as a vital step toward expanding the Fraser Lakes B Uranium Deposit.
Future Prospects and Next Steps: Analysis and Exploration
Samples from the mineralized intervals within the drill core have been collected and dispatched for analysis. The successful drilling not only confirms the presence of mineralized pegmatites and pelitic paragneiss within the deposit and project area but also sets the stage for further exploration efforts. With drilling expected to resume later this spring, Tisdale Clean Energy Corp. is poised to unlock additional mineralization potential within the South Falcon East Project.
