You do not get a FREE share, the warrant gives you the right to buy 1 share for 50 cents. If you bought the warrants for let's say 25 cents, you do not make money until the shares are worth more than 75 cents if you do not exercise. You could however, sell the warrrants before expiry if they go up in price.
