RE:RE:minor well problem

RE:RE:minor well problemNothing really FELL into the well.  Just normal events that sometimes happen when drilling.  The wire is used for a number of purposes such as sand removal, parafin removal, temperature and pressure measurements.  As well, a device called a packer, used to direct the flow of gas in the well was also lost.    The wire reaches all the way to the bottom of the hole, in this case, 2826 meters.  That's over 1 and 1/2 miles of well bore.  Unfortunately, when removing the wire, it broke off and only 330 meters was recovered.  Fishing, the term for trying  to remove what remains, was unsuccessful, so they us pushed the wire, the packer, and any other debris that was still in the hold to the very end of the pipe, past the perforation zone, so it now has no impact of the production capacity of the well.  This work is likely already completed.
