Thoughts on interview

Finally got a chance to listen to the interview, what stood out most to me (aside from the interviewer's monotone voice) was the length at which Jeff tried to distance himself from Tinley and only talk about Beckett's. I get that is where they see the growth but man it was as if he basically did not want to even mention it. "A group in California licensing the flavours for their infused drinks " it really sounded like he was talking about the family member he was ashamed of.

Also I'm a little confused as to his role vs of Rick's. is Rick taking over all operations in California?

As far as where we are, sounds like commissioning is still ongoing. Still in "talks" with Canadian partners but they will be doing both infused and non infused which would lead me to believe they would need to be on the bigger side. However I would think to meet the Beckett's showing up in Canada in August we would need to have heard something already, no?

I also had a hard time digesting exactly what I was hearing on this interview! However, if I put into context a couple of items that both Jeff M and the interviewer were aware of, but were not highlighted into detail to the audience, then this interview passes the smell test. Firstly, this interview was apparently a follow-up to an interview held between both parties last November. There seems ...more

Agreed, it seems Jeff is wanting to keep seperate Beckett's and Tinleys and that's fine with me. Rick seems to be handling all things Tinleys and Jeff will handle all things Beckett's moving forward.  it does seem like full attention right now is completing the final commissioning of the new facility, which they are now stress testing to full capacity. Assuming it takes a ...more

So the tranche should close Wednesday which coincides with the commissioning oddly enough. Or sometime this week for sure. Keep accumulating. Also Rick is doing more Beckett's than Tinley presently. Thank God!!! Beckett's our golden goose! The sooner you realize there is minimal revenue in mj now the better. If we want sp to rise we need Beckett's to drive it. Forget about Tinley's ...more

Thanks for the info. For the record after a slow start warming up to Beckett's I'm now all in. I started with the opinion that I didn't see the market but didn't see the harm since they were basically already making Beckett's as the samples they were giving away at demos. Still not really my thing but I've seen enough news about the non alcoholic movement to know the market ...more

Minus the line being for sale on Kijiji, I agree! Jeff continually saying that Cannabis beverages is the last great frontier should be a no brainer as the focus.  Beckett's would be moving on a saturated 'Trend' market IMO and will get lost in the shuffle.  Good news is if it manages to be successful than it is more money in everyone's pocket...if it isn't it goes the ...more

RC, I know the company can change the closing date so I'll give you a pass :) .. so I expect since the new closing date is the 8th that we get some nice news as you suggest at that point.  Just a little sad you got the date wrong :p

Is anyone not considered they were only able to raise 2 million dollars? Over 1 month to only raise that amound, that's about 1 quarter of cash... Hopefully Jeff finally delivers with Co-Pack news and a deal in Canada.
Comment by MadJack1 on Aug 06, 2020 1:14pm
To be honest, it wouldn't surprise me to see them not be able to raise that amount of money.  Given the lacklustre promotion of the company to the investment community.  That most recent interview would count in the lacklustre category.  While they have achieved some notable milestones, they have never shown the market they can make money and by money I might millions in revenue ...more

Well said. Raising 2M is a concern bc that is only one Q of cash. What happens if they can't close a big deal or increase the SP in a quarter? How will the company last? Assuming they close a few of the deals they've been promising for years we are still looking at another raise probably this fall. The share count will start to add up quick. This investment has turned into a straight up 50 ...more

There are so many unknowns at the moment I really do not want to speculate. What I was told is that were approached by some lenders to do a purchase plan. Maybe the 2M is a 2nd tranche. Or maybe the lenders started playing their games and Tinley walked away - I really do not known the full story. We will probably find out Monday or Tuesday, hopefully, as they announce the closing of the PP, and ...more

I retract my comment about hopefully a corporate update next week. I am almost positive now there will not be one for awhile.
Comment by kingbear on Aug 06, 2020 5:13pm
why don't you expect a corporate update for a while?
Comment by MadJack1 on Aug 06, 2020 8:02pm
The second interesting thing I have seen today, one you pull a comment after only 10 minutes...wonder what happened to make you change your mind and two a filing from April 2019 for Rick Gillis (warrants/shares) gets posted 15 months after the fact.  Neither of which I can explain.  A day of mystery's I suppose! Jmgreen, Did you stop listening at the 7:50 mark? The interview is about 19 minutes long. The first 8 minutes were about Beckett's and the rest was about everything going on with the company, and mostly about cannabis. And the right quote is "The history of the company is that there is a group of California that does license the technology... that does license the formulas and ...more
