Three Democratic senators introduced The Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act in the senate today. What ignorant investors/pumpers like Duster and TheIdiotEijah don't understansd is that this was nothing more than a discussion draft and not a formal bill.
If they did a little research they would know that the chances of a formal bill passing with the current seante composition are next to impossible because:
1) Not all Democratic senators favour legalization of cannabis
2) Even if all Democratic senators did support such a bill they would still require 10 Republicans to vote with them to get the 60 votes required to beat the filibuster and pass the Senate
3) And President Joe Biden has clearly stated he does not support adult-use legalization and he could easily veto the passage of the bill
The MJ sector reacted negatively to the draft discussion released today as the overriding sentiment is that legalization of cannabis at the Federal level is a far way off, if it ever happens at all.
