VCAN and VIBE Reality Check

If you were a VCAN shareholder and received VIBE shares and warrants, and subsequently exercised those warrants, you now have an adjusted cost base (ACB) of CAD $ 0.8264 on each of your VIBE shares.

At the current closing share price of CAD $ 0.41 you will require:
  • a 100% increase in the share price just to break even
  • a 353% increase in the share price to reach the April 6, 2021 high of CAD $ 1.45
  • a 635% increase in the share price to reach Beacon Securities target of CAD $ 2.60
These appear to be insurmountable expectations in a sector that is seeing new 52-week lows every day (WEED, TLRY, HEXO today).  Heading into 2022 federal cannabis legalization in the US will be on the backburner while Democrats try to maintain their narrow control of the Senate in the mid-term elections.  Right now the smart money is moving into the energy and EV sector leaving no support for cannabis stocks that are RED on a daily basis.

VIBE may survive the sector consolidation or be bought out but at what valuation ?  Even at a 50% premium to the current share price all previous VCAN shareholders will take a major loss.

But throughout all this TheIdiotElijah, Duster340 (the Asshat), Iscfa and others continue to pump hot air into this flat tire.  A year from now we will look back at the losses and realize that VIBE was really just VCAN 2.0.

I did not exercise my warrants and they have now thankfully expired and disappeared from my account.  I am a long term share (bag?) holder in this stock and I'm really just hanging on for entertainment value AND to actually see if my investment will go to zero.  It wasn't a terribly significant amount thankfully, but seeing my investment go to zero for the first time ever will be ...more

The sector remains heavy, unfortunatley this is the biggest factor affecting Vibe share price - other than that what is there not to like about this play?  You can get shares cheaper than the warrant price, what a deal!   And how do you figure zero?

You are relentlessly positive and I guess in some sense, that's to be commended. What's not to like?  A declining share price year after year after year. How do I figure zero?  Hmm...simple projection LOL.  A $3,200 investment in Convalo Health a few years ago is now worth about $28.  THAT is how I figure zero.  It has probably gone down 50% since I last read a ...more

I totally understand your frustration, I'm right there with you. Despite the drop in share price, I also remain cautiously optimistic. By my estimate, we're nearly at a 1:1 price/revenue ratio (I think they can make about $0.33/share in 2021 when all is said and done), which is quite astonishing for a growth company, even in a beaten down space. As I've said before, I'd be much ...more

Great news for California and Vibe: https://mjbizdaily.com/alameda-county-site-of-another-massive-illegal-marijuana-bust-in-california/ The history-making bust is one of several conducted already this year in California. In June, authorities uncovered another huge unlicensed marijuana grow operation in Los Angeles County that was worth an estimated $1 billion. Members of California’s ...more

Totally sucks and fingers crossed Biden doesn't veto the MORE act coming his way.  Hopefully he has a change of heart towards legalization which only makes sense. In the meantime think about all the positives here: $13m in the bank  7 stores operating by end of this month 37% THC grade - haven't seen anything higher anywhere Hovering around net profit Q to Q In most densley ...more

I would say that a buyout is the biggest concern for existing shareholders. You're bang on about the valuation used if such an offer is made, even with a huge premium. We're kind of a sitting duck for any larger players. All the existing shareholders would get screwed. If I were Trulieve, I would be licking my chops at being able to gobble up a small competior on the cheap, also getting a ...more
