The RealityOnline stock forums have become innundated with bashers and pumpers.
Bashers, in particular, express all sorts of perspectives from their innate altruism (insert rolling eyes emoji) to slamming management and then on to their own forecasted (evidence free) assertions about the finanacial shortcomings of the company. They are neither altruistic nor, in most cases, are they willing to answer simple questions on their holdings and/or motivation to post on a stock forum. You know who you are ...just admit it!
Pumpers may in fact have similar leanings but focus their efforts in the opposite direction to convince others that a company is far more promising than the evidence suggests. having bought early in the game they promote the idea that the sky is the limit. The impending legalization of weed in Canada was a fine example of this ....and many investors got burned buying into it. In the covid era, SONA is the prime example.
As with life generally these are the extremes with most investors on forums generally falling somewhere in the middle although there is a great deal of evidence to suggest that there are significantly more bashers than real pumpers on most. This leaves those long investors compelled to offer a sound defence to counteract the misinformation.
The reality is WE all want to see a reward and positive outcome on our investments. The problem is that as regulations have been eased, it's much less risky than it used to be to make a little money day trading and shorting than hold an investment that could provide a much more significant return in the longterm ....in spite of the almost instantaneous benefits associated with day trading.
As a young company connected to others that have in the past had some dubious moments of both calm and storm, SCRN is uniquely placed to shift the narrative. Whether that can be accomplished will certainly be revealed in the next couple of quarters.
