2015-02-02 09:11 ET - News Release
Mr. Wade Oosterman reports
BCE Inc.'s Bell has begun rolling out a new Fibe TV feature called Restart, enabling customers to rewind and watch TV shows already in progress from the beginning. Available for the first time in Canada, Restart supports thousands of shows from networks including CBC, CTV, Global TV, HBO Canada, Super Channel, TSN and more.
"Another first from Bell TV, Restart is the latest example of the Fibe innovation that is taking Canadian television further," said Wade Oosterman, president of Bell Mobility and Bell Residential Services. "Bell built Fibe TV for people who love TV. We've invested in state-of-the-art fibre networks and the best television delivery technology the world has to offer. With Fibe enabling fresh innovations like Restart, TV just keeps getting better."
The dynamic and easy-to-use Fibe TV on-screen menu and channel guide have also been further enhanced with fast access to the main menu from anywhere in the Fibe TV experience, a larger channel preview window, a Last Peek feature that shows picture-in-picture for the last five channels tuned, and an improved universal search with poster art results.
The Fibe TV 2.5 software upgrade is being automatically delivered to customer set-top boxes beginning Feb. 2, 2015, and will roll out to all Fibe TV customers by the end of March.
You can find more information about Restart and compatible channels and shows at the Bell website.
