FLIP A COIN
if one were to calculate a typical home
with current gas heat and standard insulation R values to and converted home with aerogel insulation in several products in home - roof insulation, wall insultaion, tiles, plywood, wal lboard etc...

What would the outcome be precieved as ?

It first requires one to calculate the cost of energy use along with it's lasting effects.
VERSUS
An aerogel insulation and how much longer the energy lasts - such as heat.

Let's suppoose - the Aerogel could retain heat twice as long - could one convert this equation to Aerogel being 2x better in insulating characteristics or....

Aiding the energy use and allowing the energy to last twice as long ?
Would it be silly to say... Aerogel expounds energy 2 x more ?

All depends on how you look at it.
Do you think conservation wise or doubles the energy with logevtivity ?

POINT BEING -
I would say.... both avenues could be quantatatively reckonized.

Sorry...
Had to write one more post.
Giggles....
