Trudeau energy chief unveils low-carbon industrial strategy

Trudeau energy chief unveils low-carbon industrial strategySounds like they're finally getting organized and with significant fundung.

But, will the markets hold out till they start pulling projects forward ?
I'd say... they need to begin pulling a few more projects forward for investor sake.

Do take notice how B.C.  is taking interest in Hydrogen.
I think it would be most fitting if they do adopt a few more hydrogen projects for thier own independence. B.C. knows first hands how finiky Alberta can be - tease.

Do take notice how Eastern Provinces have adopted - electrolysis hydrogen projection.
Seems they're more open to hydrogen creation other than using, Co2.
Something B.C. should also entertain along with specific metals that can also generate hydrogen. Maybe another has read a few of my posts and is open to such hydrogen ideas instead of solar. Crossed fingers.

EXCERPT -

In British Columbia, officials are particularly interested in hydrogen, critical minerals and the electrification of heavy industry, Wilkinson said. In Quebec, it’s battery manufacturing and how the critical mineral supply chain can feed into it. In Ontario, electric vehicle production is likely to get attention. And in oil-rich Alberta, carbon capture projects will be key.

“Part of the job of this table will be prioritizing those, looking at where they’re at, are they ready, and looking at the tools that we could bring to the table,” the minister said.

He pointed out that one tool the government wields is, of course, money, with $3.8 billion already earmarked for critical minerals in the April budget.

On top of that, “we have a billion and a half dollars in the Clean Fuels Fund, we have eight billion dollars in the Net Zero Accelerator, we’re setting up the Clean Growth Fund, we have the Canada Infrastructure Bank,” he said.

Wilkinson emphasized that the focus needs to be on getting projects moving forward as soon as possible if the energy transition is going to happen at scale.

Thank you Bloomberg,
Good update.
