4km Strike of Gold & Copper Discovered Today Near ZEUS Adding to the already substantial potential coming out of the emerging Hercules Copper District of southwestern Idaho, NevGold announced today the sampling of 8.19g/t gold and 1.22% copper and defined a 4km long copper-gold-silver trend at its project.
This comes after Hercules Silver (BIG) discovered a new copper porphyry, deemed an "absolutely spectacular copper deposit" by Rick Rule, starting a 'staking rush' in the area, highlighted by the presence of Barrick Gold and Rio Tinto.
Notably, NevGold's new discovery further demonstrates the potential in the area for significant mineralization to be discovered by Nev as well as other surrounding explorers. One stand out junior explorer in the area is Zeus North America Mining (ZEUS.c) and its Cuddy Mountain Property.
Lending to the merits and potential for a substantial discovery yet to be unveiled, ZEUS' Cuddy Mountain Property is located directly adjacent to BIG's initial new discovery and has since been ring-staked by BIG.
Notably, Cuddy Mountain boasts numerous similarities to BIG's property including:
- Olds Ferry terrane rocks including Hercules Rhyolite and Seven Devils Volcanics
- Number of historical silver occurrences and/or small-scale mines hosted in rhyolite
- Located along Bayhorse Thrust Fault, a major structural corridor which thrust the rhyolite overtop of volcanics
- Within erosional window through the younger Colombia River basalts that cover the vast majority of the district.
During the spring/summer 2024 season, Zeus will be conducting a 3D-DCIP Induced Polarization and Resistivity Survey, (Large-scale chargeable anomaly tested by BIG with same survey). ZEUS additionally plans to conduct soil sampling, mapping, prospecting and rock grab sampling, as well as high-resolution ground magnetics at the property.
Strategically positioned with the aims of making a discovery in the district, ZEUS has a range of exploration catalysts incoming and is worth adding to the watchlist.
