EXCITING NEWS

EXCITING NEWSTHE ODYSSEY CONTINUES FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE. December 6, 2001 - ODYSSEY RESOURCES LIMITED (YOD:CDNX) is pleased to report on the continuing drill program now being conducted on its Lucky Star prospect on the Black Sea coast in Northern Turkey. Odyssey has now completed two diamond drill holes. Two diamond drill rigs are currently active on the property, where several high priority targets were earlier defined by geophysical surveys. Drill Hole LS-03 was drilled on Anomaly D, a 300X500 meter ovoid-shaped feature, located approximately 600 meters northeast of discovery hole LS-01, which intersected a 55 meter interval grading 4.43% zinc, 1.49% lead, and 51.20 grams per tonne silver, including 19.65 meters grading 8.48% zinc, 2.73% lead, and 84.60 grams per tonne silver. Click here for a geophysical compilation map of the Lucky Star prospect: https://www.odysseyresources.com/press/imageshow.asp?img_number=1&about_id=44 LS-03 intersected a hydrothermally altered and mineralized hanging wall sequence to a depth of 164 meters. Beyond this point there is a distinct change characterized by increased alteration and sulfide content, together with rhyolite clasts. A rhyolite dome was intersected at 179 meters, the contact zone of which is altered and mineralized. The hole was stopped at a depth of 260 meters. Water circulation problems related to the mineralized zone resulted in lower core recoveries through this mineralized interval. Should results indicate that additional mineralization may have in fact been lost, then the drilling contractors have agreed to re-drill this hole at their cost to a depth of 210 meters. Avrom E. Howard, M.Sc., Executive Vice President and Director, reports that the significant highlights of LS-03 are: (1) the presence of replacement sulfide mineralization, (2) the presence of an altered rhyolite dome, and (3) the presence of visible sulfide mineralization within the rhyolite dome. Core samples have been prepared for analysis and all results will be reported in a timely manner. Hole LS-05, collared on Anomaly D approximately 200 meters southwest of LS-03, is now under way. DDH LS-04 was drilled to test Anomaly E approximately 1,000 meters to the northwest of LS-03.This hole intersected a very thick intensely clay-altered breccia with several zones of hematite staining. At 199 to 209 meters, a less intensely clay-altered intermediate porphyry was intersected. The hole was terminated a depth of 318 meters. Anomaly E occurs on the edge of the geophysical survey grid and, as such, is only partially defined. Core samples have been prepared for analysis and all results will be reported in a timely manner. The company's property comprises 250 square kilometers of shallow submarine volcanic and derived sedimentary rocks, within which are large areas of hydrothermal alteration hosting several polymetallic mineral occurrences.
