RE:RE:RE:General Questions For what it's worth, on my part I would have also really enjoyed watching the price climb a bit more too, but I can understand the 'bird in the hand' view that CR management seems to have taken.
Goldcorp and others have talked about 'peak gold' happening in the short term, so the price of gold is not likely to rise based on a short term supply shortage - though there is some good long term potential for the price, the shorter term trend looks down a bit.
Perhaps CR management was concerned they may lose the sweet spot if they held off too long.
As for Goldcorp making a counter offer, I am still hoping and waiting for the possibility.
The fact that Las Calles is sitting between 2 Goldcorp pits must have some bargaining potential - even if they don't want to risk too much on unproven resources.
I've taken some profit and will wait a bit more to see what happens before deciding on what to do with the rest.
My re-deployment is towards NVO, another favourite of Bob M. and speculative for sure, but that's what this part of my portfolio is all about.
