If the price of gold goes lower, it will cause the shutdown of some higher priced mines where the cost of producing an ounce is close to the value of an ounce.  That has already been happening.  ...more

Gold could trade sideways for 2 years before making its final rise - it declined 50% in the late 70s prior to the 1980 explosion - the scale we are dealing w now.. no telling how high it could go ...more
