Glad to report I was wrong...

Glad to report I was wrong...
I fully expected this stock to go part way into the ditch when the year end and especially Q1 reports  came out and people realized in cold hard numbers the cash shortage.

I fully expected Newmont to be preoccupied with much more important matters and unwilling to part with further cash.

I fully expected Newmont to dump this problem on somebody else by selling their interest at a loss.

I was wrong. I am impressed by the rescue job engineered at a time when Newmont had far bigger fish to fry. Added modestly to my position in late afternoon. I am still not overly-enamoured with management and hope they will make an appropriate settlement with the families of the three geologists, but that is another matter. I can see this stock zigzagging higher through the construction stage. Given the star-crossed history here, I can foresee the strong possibility of start-up glitches and plenty of them. But that's for another day. Time to sit back and wait out the construction process.
