RE:RE:It's all over the news in VenezuelaBoy Frank after reading some more provocative local analysis this morning one possible outcome is that Venezuela doesn't get regime change then the US will invent any pretext in order to militarily remove the current regime. Election year in the US. People rally around the president in times of war. US Southern Command is close by in Homestead, Florida with forward base in Curacao. Militarize Guyana's offshore areas so that it's oil keeps flowing. Chinese, xom happy. Anyway one thing that msy signal US intentions is if Fox, CNN etc start giving more attention to this Guyana- Venezuela dispute in order to sway public opinion into supporting US military action. I think that the video that I posted is correct when they state that it's almost a certainty that the US would respond militarily to any Venezuelan incursion into Guyana's Essequibo.
A US military response would have broad intertional support especially from the countries in this region. Even Lula of Brazil would secretly support it while publicly expressing reservations and a call to dialogue. Brazil, more than most countries around here wants Guyana to prosper. Brazil produces some pretty good stuff, including passenger jets so they'd love to have a booming export market right on their borders. Everybody needs this Essequibo issue settled, once and for all.
