CIT and a merger?

CIT and a merger?Would appreciate your comments on my observations.  I just bought CIT for the following reasons -$0I bought it when it bumped up from $1.00 and sold at $1.66$0$0Bought again today at $1.38 because some things struck me as interesting -$0$0Morgan Stanley provides banking services for CIT (I think) and they are also looking at adding factoring and would be directly competing with one of its customers.  That didn't seem to great - unless Morgan is looking at CIT as an acquisition.$0$0$0$0$0CIT put itself under the feds - reasons don't seem clear, but if they get really into bad shape doesn't that mean the feds would shop them around as they did other banks?$0$0$0$0$0CIT protected its tax losses and tax relief by signing an agreement with the feds which effectively prevents anyone from buying 50% or more of the company, but does not prevent "strategic" buyers.$0$0$0$0$0CIT keeps talking about how they still might have to file bankruptcy - that is apparently a necessary statement, but it also keeps reminding you that they are on the verge of something.$0$0$0$0$0This could be seeking and there is nothing, but is it possible they will merge with or be bought out by Morgan Stanley with the feds taking a good deal of their bad debts?$0
