RE:RE:RE:OlderswanExcellent explanation, olderswan.  Like you, I consider volume as crucial.  Experience has taught me not to simply look at the day's volume but more importantly the volumes leading up to today.  I am alerted whenever a stock trades > 1% of its outstanding shares, then closely follow the stock's volume in the days after.  Of course when buying I'm looking for upward share prices and particularly for prices that exceed the 20 day average.  On selling I do the reverse.  Selling is by far the more difficult call as mistakes in buying can be corrected with dollar cost averaging.  I appreciate you sharing your knowledge on this board and look forward to reading more of your posts.  Best of luck.
