Cannabis company PharmaCielo Ltd. (PCLO.V) said Friday that
--> Mexico's Chamber of Deputies voted to advance a bill that would legalize recreational cannabis in the country.
This follows the decision of Mexico's health ministry in January to publish a legal framework for the medical cannabis market, including the import of medicinal extracts and products.
PharmaCielo said that through its PharmaCielo S.A. de C.V. joint venture with MINO Labs S.A. de C.V., it is well-positioned to become a preferred supplier in Mexico. PharmaCielo is on track to receive its Mexican GMP certification during the second quarter.
