Actually, Bme4fun may not be too far off the mark in the not too distant future (as far as CanAm is concerned). But first of all I have to mention that this frac sand thing could very well prove to be a brilliant diversification opportunity seized by this operating coal company. I have to give mgt props for this as far as it stands today. So, about Arkansas. I have done some prelim DD digging and I see that there is some serious frac sand operator activity in the northeast of Arkansas--Izard and Independance counties. That is not very far from CanAm's multi-deposits of coal in the northwest corner. Apparently these frac sand companies intend to supply the southern Texas and Louisiana gas fields. Most of the major silica deposits are in the northern midwest region. Since transportation costs loom very large in this business, the Arkansas deposits are a lot closer to the equally large gas fields in the south. So it is not a stretch at all in thinking CanAm might consider Arkansas as a logical place to expand its newfound interest in frac sand.
