IR reply on B2B question

IR reply on B2B questionBelow is the question I asked and the reply from T. D'sena. After reading the reply, I get the impression there are a wide variety of tech companies that would compliment Conac's futuristic vision. We could be in for some surprises. > Dear Sir: > > I have been reviewing the April 30th Management Discussion and > Analysis. Can you explain the type of software company(ies) that can > broaden your customer and market base? I guess what I really do not > fully understand is how a move to the B2B environment will increase the > bottom line. Does management expect partnerships with other > complimentary software companies and a B2B presence to be > replacements for the presently successful marketing strategy? > > Thank you > > L Lynch > New Brunswick, Canada Mr. Lynch The world has evolved around tecnological advancements. Technology is advancing rapidly especially in regards to the internet. In another 2 to 4 years if Conac's products are not web centrix the company can say goodbye to its clients. B2B is basically a business to business transactions that will be done over the internet. The collabration of inter business that synergise each other on a project to project basis will all be done via the internet. Imagine putting out a quotation for lumber of approx 2million board feet. A business could get competitive quotes globally and place the order over the internet for the best price. This type of efficiency will lead to a 30% savings to the construction companies. This industry is very fragmented and this fragmentation leads to inefficiencies. Imagine that North America the business is $800 billion that is a savings of 24 billion dollars. These numbers when transposed to a global picture go as high as 3 trillion Dollars a savings of 1 trillion dollars. These numbers are not exaggerated. The numbers above are just to give you a picture of how much savings a B2B portal will generate. A construction company will be foolish to commit suicide not to use B2B technology. It will be the wave over the next year or two and Conac has to prepare its products for this technology, or it will be left at the dock while the ship pulls out. The example is but one. Wireless technology, instant messaging, Computer Aided Drawings will all be part of the B2B platform and it is exactly what companies are looking to do. Manage a project from cradle to grave on one system, this system will be the Conac B2B platfrorm. Go on the web sites and search on "B2B" and read all the articles on this technology and then you will understand why Conac has to go in this direction. Technology is always leading edge, a company committed to growth first has to commit to leading edge technology!!!! Any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
