Highly unlikely.. omni is burning Bright it will saturate and cases will plummet. Look in SA were it first hit cases exploded exponential then are currently crashing.. we are approx 3 -4 weeks behind them.. couple that with almost quarter million vaccination boosters a day. The closure is bad but at the very least it's happening in January the slowest month of the year

The virus is getting weaker, the next varient will be weaker and the population will be stronger from it cause it's infecting so many people. Fall 2022 will be a common cold Look at South Africa case counts. Huge boom and then crash in cases get ready for similar trends. https://www.nytimes.com/live/2021/12/30/world/omicron-covid-vaccine-tests

The shutdowns are just not sustainable, the government is wracking up so much debt. More then in one year then the previous 10 combined. Economic collapse cause have far more problems then having full hospitals of people who arnt vaxed . Canadian economy is being held up by real estate and construction atm, if housing falls and you add shutdowns could be on the brink of economic collapse
