RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: Coal

Lie and deceive. Where? You care to back that up?

You have cauliflower in your ears again.  I will say it again.  Raven coal is not coking coal.  It is semi soft.  It must be blended with coking coal in order to be used for steel making.  And it is of lower quality due to the sulphur, than comparable coal from Australia.  That's the simple truth from Compliances own filings and feasibility studies.   Furthermore it is, like Quinsam, whos property is directly next door to the north and have never sold an ounce of their coal as steel makingh, marketable as a high quality thermal coal.

I would be less adamant if it were guaranteed that every ounce of Raven coal ended up in a steel mill, but that simply is not realistic.  It is of too poor quality.  It is bottom of the barrel stuff and thus not necessary.

And with the Bear project likely coming on the heels of Raven and being of even poorer quality more likely to be used for thermal only, well.... That's just more reason to oppose it.

Oh ya, and then there is Ravens refusal to use the railway rather than clogging up the highways and forcing all of the maintenance costs on the provincial and municipal taxpayer, there's another reason to oppose.

Oh ya, and another reason, the port facility will be taking those trucks, every 15 minutes, right past the main business and tourism area on the Port Alberni waterfront, and the response from the company?  Oh well.... Yet another reason to oppose it.

But again, the overriding reason to oppose it is because it will be contributing to the 80% of world emissions from coal that is the #1 cause of global warming, higher food prices due to drought, and billions in damages from unprecedented severe weather.

If you want to call that a lie then you are just lying to yourself.
