RE: RE: So Why are You Here chrisale...

Boy 2guys, you really have me figured out! :+)

It's quite evident chrisale that you're either a local resident who doesn't want the Raven in his/her backyard, or you're a trader/investor.

Bzzzt. wrong.

First of all, my name is Chris Alemany. Go ahead google it, I don't care. I've never hid my identity on the Intertubes and I think I'm better off for it.

I live in Port Alberni so Raven is not in my backyard and none of the local effects of the mine will impact me. My initial concern, and indeed the concern of most in Port Alberni (pro or against), has been the trucks. Initially they were talking about up to 5 trucks an hour. That's now gotten down around 3-4 24/7/365 trucks an hour. Either way, it's a big (40%) increase locally and a huge concern to municipal taxpayers in Port Alberni who are already on the hook for a ton of road repairs from the existing traffic.

And now they're talking about getting the province to spend $100 Million to build a new highway through Horne Lake which will be basically for the sole benefit of Raven. It's a foolhardy waste of taxpayer money and a gigantic subsidy to Raven Coal whos shipping times would be cut nearly in half when a railway would be likely less than 1/3 the cost to the taxpayer.

See, I make my money by trading and investing, both short, medium and long term. Thus, I have time to post during the day, and evening, because investments are my livelihood.

A pretty easy living. My dad does the same. From sunny shores of Mexico. Mind you, he did spend 30 years working hard as a commercial fisherman, so I think he's earned an easier go for his working retirement.

You, are either unemployed, or you make a living such as I do, or you don't want the Raven in your backyard, and since I don't see you posting on any other board, I'm leaning towards the unemployed, NIMB kind of guy.

But actually, I think you're just a looser of a trader trying to influence the price of CEC.

LOL. Well I hope for your sake that you are a better trader than you are a judge of people. I'm fully employed and have never traded any stock in my life and was actually very nearly in favour of Raven *if* it had committed to using the railway and *if* it was all steel-making coal as they have been claiming. The railway would open up the Mid-Island economy to benefit from trade through Asia Pacific.

Unfortunately, Mr. Tapics early nice words about the railway has turned into vapour. And we all know how true the 'steel-making' claims have turned out to be.

And so, things have soured. I even started a petition to try to compel both Raven and the Government to make the railway a key condition of having the coal mine be approved. So far, the wishes of the over 600 people that signed the petition (now available at www.vifreightbyrail.ca) has fallen on deaf ears for the most part. I do hold out some hope that Southern Railway, the ICF and Raven will be able to work something out. But it's all very much in the air.

So how can you make a difference to the EA process by posting trash on this board. You can't, plain and simple. You chrisale are nothing but a trash talking trader, IMO.

Here's the kicker 2guys. I wouldn't have stuck around here if it wasn't for you. You have been such an obvious mouthpiece and cheerleader for CEC, spouting all the nonsense from the press releases about it all being metallurgical, about it being all so environmentally responsible. All of which is nothing but propaganda.

Do my posts sway anyone or anything? Perhaps they do... perhaps they don't. But I cannot stand propaganda and downright lies. And since this website seems to be for 'retail' investors as you say... people who are trying to make a little, or a lot, or money, I actually think the truth is a pretty important thing for those people to know.

I think traders should know how much opposition there is to this mine.
I think traders should know that what the company is saying about the resource is extremely optimistic and even unlikely to pan out.
I think traders should know that this company will be potentially exaserbating existing environmental issues in the local area (from previous mines) and creating new issues.
I think traders should know the implications of the coal from this mine and that climate change is a real driving force behind people who are opposed to this mine.

So in short. I'm not going anywhere. Give yourself a pat on the back. :)

Chris
