RE: RE: RE: So Why are You Here chrisale...

Wow Chris, thanks for the response and for putting so much emphasis on me.  It's quite flattering, lol.

No Chris, you don't make a difference posting here, because as you put it, you are a protestor to the mine.

You don't want trucks coming near your backyard, and as you already stated, you're against CEC selling any Thermal coal.

You are one of the protestors, as I thought.  You didn't have to state a name, but I commend you for being honest about that.

The only thing you do by coming here is manipulate those that are invested.  I am invested, but for the long term.  I know the risks, and you are one of them as you don't seem ready to accept a compromise.

You want rail.  Is rail available?  I'm sure if it was that CEC would use it as it's cheaper than trucking.  And what's wrong with a new highway?  You don't want the extra traffic in your backyard, I understand that, who does?

I live in the City, Toronto to be exact, so I'm used to the traffic, cars, trucks, buses and there's a railway nearby.  Much more than you're used to I"m sure, but I've been to Vancouver and they're just as busy.  It's called progress, but that's my opinion, and I'm all for it.

Stay here all you want.  At least I was partially right, and that you are closer to CEC and the Raven project.  Hopefully you and your 600 petitioners can reach a compromise to your demands.  I would hope you can, but at what cost and to whom?

Would your demands make Raven economical, or would it not?  You see, if you can't reach a compromise to make a mine economic and environmentally responsible, then you are defeating the purpose of the commitee set up at the EAO.

They are worried about the Environment and will make sure that CEC mines Raven responsibly.  You seem more worried about the increase in traffic near your backyard, with the environment taking a second seat.

Making demands that don't make economic sense is just the same as saying, you don't want a coal mine near your dwelling period.  JMO
