RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: COMPLIANCE PLEADS FOR SUPPORT

It's about obstacles Chris.  The fact is, you and your "no coal mine in my neighbourhood" attitude no matter what, is not how you get to a sensible compromise IMO.

You don't want the Raven period.  It's evident in the way you post.

The way you want things isn't always the way you get things.  Life doesn't work that way, and you should know that by now.  I'm sure you do.

Yes I might be 5000 km away, but I know what progress means to a town or city.  I'm sure I see lots more trucks coming down my street each day (I don't live in a highrise)  than you'll see in a week.  It's awful I know, but that's progress.  Plain and simple.

You're concerned about Port Alberni alone.  There will be about 350 jobs direct jobs created for Canadians, whether they be from Port Alberni or nearby towns and locals.  That way of thinking is more selfish than anything else.

You should emphasize your desire for rail, I'm not saying you shouldn't.  If it's economically feasible, then it will or should go by rail, but..........

Don't forget, it's not just about Port Alberni, or what effects your community alone, because there is much more at stake, and not only for Compliance Energy investors either.

Believe me, most Compliance Energy investors won't make nearly as much as what the workers will make if/when the mine is constructed and begins operations.

The studies are being done on the effects if any on the shellfish industry, and all studies will be taken into account during the EA application stage.

Good luck and I truly hope that it the end, a compromise will be reached for all those involved.  I believe it will.  JMO
