mokita, I'm not sure what your point is.  Are you saying that Steve Ellis because he worked for Rio Tinto is guilty of breaking labour related laws?

 

It sounds like that is what you're insinuating in your recent rants.  Is that what your intent is?

 

Did you know that Mr. Ellis was exonerated by the Department of Labour in New Zealand of any wrongdoing?

 

Do you actually do any real due diligence prior to posting your misleading rants on this board?

more rants or reasons to shelf Raven project that was developed to take advantage of a "robust" market demand for met. coal and to offer stable, long term jobs. Can CEC even if it pays competitive wages compete w/ companies that hire cheap labour? B.C coal mine’s temporary workers from China will be here for years, maybe decades Mines are not prepared to pay ...more

I read that article by The Vancouver Sun that you posted Mokita.  It seams that you have overlooked the fact that these coal mines meantioned in the article are in North Eastern BC.  Mines in this area are hard to find labour for because nobody wants to live up there.  It's darker, colder, drug and alcohol problems are a huge issue...  AND THERE ARE NO WOMEN!
