Great video, but too many "I think this will affect"  type scenario.  Nothing concrete to suggest that the Compliance project will absolutely alter their sustainable industry.   They will have to do a better job to convince the masses.

You are right, the extent of the risk is an unknown, what is known is that like Quinsam and every coal mine, Raven will emit thousands of tonnes of GHG emissions that cannot be mitigated and will eventually contaminate impacted water sources and Baynes Sound with AMD.  if your job, your son's job, or your parents' jobs were put at risk would you be so cavalier regarding the ...more

I agree with you. i was commenting on the video itself, not the actual facts.  The mine will pollute.   I just hope management is honest and continuously finds new methods of reducing the pollution.

no evidence of transparency or faith that CEC will spend the millions needed to protect the environment--that is if methane and carbon capture devices were feasible or efficient. Mining engineers point to failures of ALL mitigation measures due to human error, budget, lax enforcement of environmental restrictions, company "addiction to falsifying records" and nature.  By permitting ...more

jvand, there are standards and Raven will operate within or better than standards laid out by the EAO. Can we all agree that we all pollute to some degree? We all leave a carbon footprint, big or small. What's important is that we work or operate within problematic limits. If we do, then we will succeed in leaving a minimal carbon footprint. That is what the EA process is intended to do ...more

Gee, 2guys, you seem to be woefully out of touch with provincial and federal moves to remove ALL "standards" and to create a free enterprise market for especially Chinese Investors who are currently hiring hundreds of Chinese miners to fill jobs promised in permit campaigns to go to locals.
